About us

The Intellectual Property Lawyers’ Organisation (TIPLO) was formed in 1995 to bring together lawyers practicing in all fields of intellectual property.

The issues and legal practices in this field change rapidly in response to the development of modern technology and it is in the interest of those working in the field to openly and objectively discus these issues.

We hold four events each year where we hear from Judges and IP experts on a range of subjects that are relevant to the IP profession and is followed by a three course meal. Past events have taken place in prestigious London venues such as the House of Lords or Grays Inn.

All lawyers working in the intellectual property field are invited to join us at the events and to become a member of TIPLO. Members obtain reduced fees for events as well as email updates on guest speakers, topics and location. Membership is available both on an individual and on a corporate basis. TIPLO welcomes the participation of young IP lawyers.
